Phil Perry: Airlie Gardens' Egret

Photograph taken in Airlie Gardens on Dec. 19, 2024. We are lucky to have several locations in the Wilmington area to see and photograph birds. The Egrets have beautiful feathers, for which the birds were once hunted for their feathers to adorned ladies hats.
I never tire of photographing these and the many other birds of the area.
